Those first few weeks with your baby are filled with moments that seem to pass in the blink of an eye. From their tiny fingers and delicate features to the way they fit so perfectly in your arms, these are the details you'll want to remember.


At Candy Bagwell Photography, newborn sessions are designed to be simple, comfortable, and focused on your little one.


The Wrapped Newborn Experience


My newborn photography focuses on beautifully styled, fully wrapped portraits in a comfortable studio setting.


Using soft wraps, coordinating colors, and carefully selected props, I create a variety of timeless images while keeping your baby securely and comfortably wrapped throughout the session.


By layering wraps, I can change colors and textures without repeatedly undressing or disturbing your baby. We can also incorporate different simple props and backdrops to create variety while keeping the experience relaxed.


Each session includes:


- Beautifully styled, fully wrapped newborn portraits

- A selection of soft wrap colors and textures

- Up to two simple prop setups

- Close-up portraits capturing those tiny newborn details

- A comfortable, baby-led experience with time for feeding and soothing

- Professional editing and a private online gallery of finished digital images


My newborn sessions are intentionally limited to wrapped photography rather than elaborate, unwrapped posing or multiple outfit changes.



For families who would like to be included,

I offer an optional family portrait addition to the Wrapped Newborn Experience.


This allows us to capture a few beautiful, natural portraits with parents and siblings while keeping the focus on your newest family member.


Family portraits are kept simple, with one coordinated outfit per person ( I don't supply the outfit).  Sibling portraits are always guided by age, comfort, and safety.


When Should You Schedule?


Newborn portraits are ideally photographed during the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are often sleepier and more comfortable being wrapped.


I recommend reaching out during pregnancy to reserve a tentative spot around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we'll coordinate the actual session date.


Because newborn sessions require additional time and flexibility, I accept a limited number of bookings.


**Newborn photography is available in my Fletcher, NC studio on weekdays only, by appointment.**


A Comfortable Experience for Your Baby


Every baby is different, and I never expect them to follow a strict schedule.


Time is allowed for feeding, changing, soothing, and comforting your little one as needed. Sessions are guided by your baby's comfort and safety, and specific poses or images cannot be guaranteed.


My goal is to create beautiful portraits while making the experience as comfortable as possible for both baby and parents.
